The Graphene Revolution

Graphene is the new textile material
Graphene is a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice. Thanks to its physical characteristics, graphene has a set of astonishing properties which repeatedly earn it the title “wonder material”.
Technow through the project “Graphene Inside the Future” has brought graphene from the laboratories into the textile sector, creating a wide range of innovative products defined as “Smart Textile”.

Graphene Properties
Graphene application can improve the technical properties of traditional fabrics without changing their natural structure, adding the following characteristics:
Thermoregulation: Graphene can keep the basal body temperature stable, with no strong thermal fluctuations detected in the event of changes to the surrounding temperature or physical exertion.
Antistatic: Graphene is a natural conductive material, application of a continuous layer of graphene causes electric charges to be dispersed, preventing them from accumulating on the surface.
Anti-odor: Graphene nanoparticles are free from acute and chronic toxicity and have excellent anti-odor properties.
